Literary scholar and specialist in German Studies Martin Klöker primarily conducts research on the history of German literature and culture in the Baltics in an international frame. His interest is particularly focused on the literary culture of the early modern period, but also extends to the areas of book history, education history and history of mentalities; small forms of literature (occasional poetry) and everyday literature (minutes of meetings). As a lead research fellow in the project, his responsibilities include the compilation and editing of the handbook „Nobility and literature in the Baltic countries in the early modern period,“ and the preparation and publication of the embassy minutes of Caspar Meyer, the secretary of the Estonian Knighthood (after admission into the nobility, Meyer adopted the name von Rosenstock).
