Marin Jänes

Marin Jänes is the scientific secretary of the Under and Tuglas Literature Centre of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, the vice-chair of its scientific council and a Ph.D student in cultural studies at Tallinn University. Her area of interest in the research project on the literature of the nobility is the German-language texts of Estonian and Livonian nobility; phenomena of multilingualism and their background in the several genres of the writings of Baltic German hereditary and new nobility, as well as the multilingual relationship in the comparison between written and manuscript sources. Marin is irreplaceable as the organizer of scholarly conferences, seminars, and events that popularise the work of the Under and Tuglas Literature Centre. She is responsible for the communication and for the creation and updating of a good home page. She also coordinates publishing related to the project.
